The Best Shoes For Traveling

Hey there, blog world! Welcome back to the blog. I hope you’re all doing swell! 🙂

I’m feeling very stressed this week, but I’m trying to stay positive. You know how college is, it all hits at once, and when it does, stress levels are at an all time high. BUT, like I said, I’m trying to stay positive — so I’m just trying to look at it as a week FULL of opportunities to succeed. That’s the right attitude to have, right?

Okay, enough about my week, let’s talk about shoes. (P.S. I’d love to hear from you guys in the comments. Let me know how your week is going. We’re friends now, remember?) This week, I wanted to talk about the best shoes for traveling. I’m actually going to be traveling abroad in May 2020, and I’m stoked. But, we all know that sometimes a pair of shoes can make or break an experience. This is why I want to talk about my experiences of traveling in different kinds of shoes and what I believe the best go-to travel shoes are.

Traveling often requires lots of walking, so you want to travel in shoes that are comfortable for long periods of time — not heels, not those stubborn flats that leave blisters on your heel, not those sneakers or slip-ons with literally no sole or support. Tennis shoes are a great option, but tennis shoes don’t go with every outfit. So, my favorite shoes to travel in are……

Birkenstocks.

Yep, we’re talking about Birks again and I’m definitely not sorry. These shoes will change your life. (Check out my blog post about my top four favorite pairs of shoes for different occasions which includes Birkenstocks!)

  1. They’re SUPER comfy

It doesn’t matter if you’re at a shopping mall shopping ‘til ya drop, or sight-seeing in Paris, (trust me, my best friend took a trip to Paris and wore them the whole time) they’re perfect.

  1. They are SO versatile

Like I said before, they go with anything. You want to wear a cute sundress? You want to wear a t-shirt and shorts? Heading to the beach? Birks are the way to go.

  1. They’re HIGH quality and will last

Sandals can be flaky. I’ve had plenty of sandals give out on me, but Birks won’t do that to you. You can trust them.

So, next time you’re planning a trip, think about taking a pair of Birkenstocks. Except if you’re headed to Colorado to ski, please don’t take Birkenstocks. You’ll freeze your toes off.

Thanks for reading! Have a wonderful day 🙂
