Hey hey! Today we’re talking about my favorite shoes. I’ll tell you guys what types of shoes are my go-to’s for different occasions and why. I decided to limit it to my top four — seemed like a reasonably amount, of course, there’s more than four types of occasions you might need shoes for, but you get the gist. So, without further a-do… let’s chat about SHOES!

My first go-to: Birkenstocks.
I have a pair of two strap Arizona Birkenstocks in the color Mocha and they are my fave. Birks became pretty popular in my high school about two to three years ago, but I didn’t get mine until this year. Yes, I know I am behind the times. I’ll let you in on a secret — I always am! Nonetheless, I finally got a pair and they are one of the best investments I’ve ever made. I really didn’t want to spend $100 on a pair of sandals, but once I did, there wasn’t any buyers’ remorse. So if you can’t tell, I would highly recommend. When and where do I wear my Birks? On campus, to work, traveling, etc, etc, etc — the list goes on and on. Birkenstocks are super comfortable and you can style them with a t-shirt or a dress; they are quite versatile.

Next: Vans
Like I said before, I’m always behind on trends, so I was also late to the black slip-on Vans trend. Everybody in my high school was wearing them a few years ago, but it took me a few years and being in college to catch on. I’m the type of person that wants to avoid trends because I like to be unique but then I cave because I also like to be trendy — unimportant, but I felt like I needed to explain. I have the classic black Vans slip-ons and they are also super comfortable and super versatile. Can you tell that versatility and comfort are what I look for most in a shoe? I wear my Vans with jeans mainly, but they go with lots of different styles!

Okay, I have to include a running shoe: Nike Tennis Shoes
I bought my tennis shoes before school started last year and they are the best for when you’re doing lots of walking. They’re comfortable and cute! I have the Nike React tennis shoes in gray so they go with black and navy! I don’t know about your high school, but at mine, blavy (mixing black and navy clothing) was completely unacceptable, so that’s why I had to have shoes to match either — because, absolutely NO clashing!! Anyway, I’d definitely recommend Nike Reacts if you need shoes for the gym, for lots of walking, or even just for comfort!

Finally:
Although I know this list is not all encompassing, I’m finishing off with a heel. Heels are a staple in every girl’s closet, right? They’re great for weddings, special events, or date nights. I have a pair of Steve Madden two strap low block heel in black that I actually bought for attending my aunt’s wedding last spring and they were instantly a new fave. They are super adorable, not too high, and just enough to make you feel fancy.
Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed. Have a fabulous week!!
