When I was little I thought a flip flop was a flip flop and there was nothing different about all these different brands and styles ā boy, was I wrong. With summer coming to an end (sad face), I thought Iād share my favorite brands and types of flip flops. You may be wondering why in the world am I telling you about flip flops when itās basically fall and weāre moving into spooky season. Well let me tell you that it’s in the high 80s right now so itās definitely still feeling like summer. Let it be known that the following are my personal favorite shoe brands and/or types of flip flops I deem necessary to have in no particular order
1. Reef

I have owned multiple pairs of reef flip flops over the years and I love them. Reef has many different styles of flip flops to choose from and they are super comfortable (even more comfortable depending on which style you get)! I have a few pairs right now, but my favorite ones are the ortho-spring (pictured to the right). The sole of these are comfortable and the straps are fabric instead of plastic so thereās no rubbing or blisters.
2. Sanuk

Okay, so I donāt own these anymore because my dog ate them, but I did own them at one point! These shoes literally have yoga mat soles so you can only image how comfortable all of the styles are. This brand has even more flip flop options than reef too!
3. Birkenstocks

So technically I do not believe these make the āflip flopā sound when walking, but thatās a plus, isnāt it?Ā If you read my last post Are Birkenstocks Worth It? then you know my opinion on these already.Ā They go along with the other brands I have mentioned as they are comfortable, but these also form to fit your feet exactly!
4. Beach/Pool flip flops

Everyone needs a not-so-nice pair of flip flops to throw on if youāre going out to the beach or pool. Who cares if they get stolen, lost, or break. These shoes are of little investment and therefore I do not recommend wearing them all time since they are not supportive and most likely will have plastic straps. You can buy these literally anywhere with shoes from Walmart to Kohls to Old Navy. Old Navy usually has a sale on these once a year for $1.
5. Cute flip flops

I was not quite sure what to classify these flip flops as other than ācute.ā These are a pair that you could dress up a bit more. My personal favorite are ones with little bows. I know these Uggs I have posted might not technically be flip flops since they donāt have a thong and they are more like sandals, but I couldnāt resist posting them for this. The suede and bow dress them up a bit so they are not your normal āflip flopā (or I guess really sandal in this case).
