Birkenstocks are super popular right now so you may find yourself debating about purchasing a pair and asking if they’re really worth the money. You’re not alone here as not everyone can just go drop over $100 on a new pair of sandals without thinking about it first. I am here to tell you that in my not-so-professional (but totally trustworthy) opinion, Birkenstocks are worth the money.
I highly suggest skipping buying knock-offs and go straight to the real deal in most cases. This comes after consulting with multiple Birkenstock owners and hearing the issues associated with knock-offs and the advantages of Birkenstocks.
The average off brand shoe is between $20 and $50 and can be purchased just about anywhere from Amazon to Kohl’s to Walmart to Payless. If you’re not quite sure if the style is for you yet, making this purchase may be worth it since you’re not dropping $100 on shoes that don’t fit who you are. You should know though that you will not be getting near the same quality in materials and comfort.
Speaking specifically about an experience from my sister, the quality of Birkenstocks is far superior than its counterparts. She purchased a pair of Madden Girl shoes that looked like Birkenstocks costing about $50 and they lasted a few months until they broke. She then went to replace them with another Madden Girl and the color rubbed off the shoes on these. After buying two $50 pairs of off brand, spending a total of $100, she decided to get the real deal. She has had Birkenstocks for over a year now with no issue and they are much more comfortable than the others (think of the $100 she could have saved buying Birkenstocks from the beginning!) .
This comfort is due to the way Birkenstocks are designed; they mold to fit your feet exactly after about a week of wear. This first week you may be asking yourself not only were they worth the money you just dropped on them, but are they worth the slight discomfort and pain that first week as they mold to your feet. The unanimous answer to this seems to be a big “YES!” Those couple blisters you get and discomfort at first are all worth it once you have your Birkenstocks fitting to the exact shape of your feet and it’s nothing but comfort and good times moving forward.

If you are debating about getting Birkenstocks – go for it!! Trust me, you will not regret your purchase and it will be money well spent.
