Welcome back to my blog! Are you having fun reading all about shoes? I bet you never guessed that we’d have so much to talk about… but yet, here we are and we’ll be sticking around for a while, so I hope you will too!
If you read my blog last week, I mentioned how crazy my week was… Absolutely crazy. So so busy. BUT, good news: I survived! So now you get to read more shoe blogs by yours truly 😉
This week, I’m talking about rain boots. It’s finally fall, which I’m not super thrilled about because I LOVE summer, but I will admit that it’s been slightly too hot recently, so I won’t complain that fall is settling in. Today technically was the first day of fall and it started off a bit rainy and chilly — perfect fall weather, so good job Mother Nature. What better shoes to wear when the weather starts transitioning to fall, with cooler temperatures and rainy days, than RAIN BOOTS!
I had never owned a pair of rain boots until coming to college. I never had to deal with walking through puddles as I walked from class to class, but now that I do, I am so glad that I have a couple solid pairs of rain boots. I couldn’t go without them.
I own a pair of Sperry duck boots, as well as a pair of Vera Bradley rain boots.
First, I’ll tell you why you need a pair of Sperry duck boots…

Sperry duck boots are durable, comfortable, and great for rain AND snow. They are the ideal pair of boots for the fall season, winter season, and even spring season. They double as rain boots and snow boots, protecting you from puddles, snow, and slush. They definitely are a unique style, so they may not be for everyone, but if you give them a try, you’ll be glad that you did. I found mine at TJ Maxx and they were a great deal, so if you don’t want to spend a ton of money on a pair, check out your local TJ Maxx or Marshalls!
Secondly, my Vera Bradley rain boots have saved me many, many times!

They are not your typical rain boot from Rural King. These boots are great quality and super comfy. I have a pair of floral printed ones that my mom found at a Vera Bradley outlet sale. (If you can’t tell, I love a good deal!) They have several different prints to satisfy every style and you’ll get so many compliments when you wear them. These are a great option for avoiding puddles around campus!
Lastly, if you’re just looking for a decent pair of rain boots without spending the money on name brand styles, check out Target!

They have plenty of cute options that’ll keep you in style this fall. I almost bought a pair a few days ago! I’ve even seen cute pairs at Rural King, Walmart, and Meijer. Just keep your eyes peeled. There’s great deals out there!
I hope this blog post is helpful in finding the right pair of rain boots for you this fall! Our website is called Sole Mate Shoes… so I have to help you find your soulmate in shoe form 😉
